Old Dominion University Physical Therapy Weekend
September 11 – 12 2009

Schedule of Events
Friday 
4 – 5pm DPT White Coat Ceremony

University Theatre, Health Sciences Bldg.

5 – 6pm Reception & Tours
Following the white coat ceremony is a reception in Health Sciences Bldg. room 2000 with light refreshments. Students will give tours of the building to their family, friends and alumni.
 
6 – 9pm Social time at Monarch Sports Bar & Grill (SpringHill Suites)
The bar & grill is just across the street, so students & families, alumni & faculty can gather for casual social time. Drink specials are available to those who say they are with the PT weekend!

Saturday 
7-8am Registration & check in for Continuing Education Course, & Continental Breakfast
8 – 12noon Course: Sports Injuries Across the Lifespan

Accommodations
A block of rooms have been reserved at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott with a special rate of $129 per night. The hotel is located next to the Health Sciences Bldg at 4500 Hampton Blvd. The rooms will be held until 4pm August 11, 2009. To reserve your room, call  Marriott reservations at 888-638-7488 (TOLL FREE), 757-423-4100 and REQUEST GROUP CODE: PTAR or via Internet with provided group code. However, if you make reservation through the internet, the internet code is PTAPTAA for a 2 Double Bed Suite or PTAPTAB for a King Bed Suite.  If you don’t use the group code you will not get the discount.

FOOTBALL
An ODU home football game against Virginia Union University is scheduled for 6pm at Foreman Field.

Registration
The registration fee is $60 to attend Friday and Saturday events. This includes an Alumni event t-shirt. For guests and children attending the picnic only, there is a $10 charge. Children 10 and under are free. We will send out brochures with registration forms to our list of known alumni addresses, and we’ll post a downloadable registration form sometime during May or June.
