ODU Nurse Alumni Chapter News-September ‘05

The ODU Nurse Alumni Chapter received its official charter on October 18, 2004 at the Barry M. Kornblau Alumni Center on the Main Campus.  Alumni, faculty, and current students numbering more than 150 enjoyed the festivities of the event.  Dr. Linda Davis ’70, a former chairperson of nursing was the featured guest speaker.

A reception was held in Williamsburg, Virginia for MSN-NP alumni during the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners annual conference.  Plans for the renovation of SON in the Technology Building and the physical assessment lab were featured at the event.  Over 40 alumni enjoyed the company of colleagues and classmates.  Door prizes were made available from the ODU bookstore. Many thanks to the bookstore and the SON for their financial support!

The chapter provided a small gift to those students that attended the May ’05 Convocation Ceremony held at the Miles Godwin Building on the main campus.  

Plans for an Open House in the early spring ’06 semester are in progress!  Details to come!
