Military - Traditional Curriculum

(MECP, STA-21)
The traditional format requires minimal prerequisite courses for admission (Biology, Chemistry, English & Sociology) with the nursing major scheduled over three academic years of fall, spring and summer semester courses.  This plan is best suited for students with significant general education and departmental requirements remaining upon admission to the major.  Courses and clinical experiences are scheduled during weekdays.

PLEASE NOTE:  The University General Education requirement for 6 credits of foreign language must be met by any student not exempt from the requirement.  The following exemptions exist for the foreign language requirement.

  1. High School graduate prior to 1986, or
  2. Three (3) years of ONE foreign language in high school, or
  3. Two (2) years each of TWO DIFFERENT foreign languages in high school

Total Credits = 120 – 126

*Students may satisfy the general education requirement with two cluster course, a minor or previous bachelor's degree.  The Administrative Cluster course choices are:  Management 325, Management 350; Psychology 303; Communications 351 or Philosophy 303 or 345 (only one philosophy course may be used).
