Master of Science in Dental Hygiene Curriculum

The Master of Science Degree Program in Dental Hygiene is designed to prepare graduates with expertise in theory, research and advanced dental hygiene specialization. A candidate may complete either a thesis or non thesis option. Both options include a core requirement of 19 credits and a 9 credit specialty area. Candidates who elect the thesis option complete a minimum of 34 hours of course work, including 6 hours of original thesis research. Candidates who elect the non thesis option complete 37 hours of course work and conduct a modest research project. Applicants are encouraged to contact the graduate program director to obtain additional information regarding course offerings and requirements.
