- Take time to read and understand the question. Determine if there are multiple parts to the question and what the relationship(s) is between the parts.

- Apply the Quick Study and Analysis Plan (QSAP) approach. This will assist with clarity and comprehensiveness in answering the premise of the question
- Support you position with facts. Avoid comments such as, I believe. Avoid overuse of the first person.
- Write with power. Do not weaken your answer with contractions and series of pronouns.
- Use journal and newspaper articles gathered in class to support your position.
- Avoid quoting the text, but use text references in your own words to demonstrate understanding.
