Health-Care Management

Advisor: Dr. Brenda Stevenson-Marshall

This emphasis area is planned to allow health professionals the opportunity to pursue graduate study to develop and improve their administrative capabilities. Many students who enter this emphasis area are currently employed in management in a health-related agency/organization and want to advance or enhance their administrative/management capabilities. Others are in a health-related profession and want to move into an entry-level management position.

The health care management  emphasis area is offered on Friday evenings through a combination of asynchronous web-based and TELETECHNET educational delivery systems. Basic computer skills are essential to participate in this program. TELETECHNET courses are offered on alternate Friday nights from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The program can be completed in two years if the student takes two classes per semester in sequence. It can be completed in four years if the student takes one class per semester. If one course is missed, then the student may have to wait for the next offering. There are no substitutes. The TTN/Internet Master of Science in Community Health is a unique program based on the following items:

Enrollment in courses may be limited especially the web based ones.  Students are encouraged to register early for all courses to assure a place in the class and to prevent courses with limited enrollment from being cancelled before the beginning of the semester.
