College of Health Sciences Advising Center

The Advising Center is located in room 2112 of the Health Sciences Building at 4608 Hampton Blvd. between 46th and 47th Streets. The main entrance for the building is located on the 46th Street side of the building.

Students will work with the Advising Center Staff until they have completed the general education requirements and prerequisites for their Health Science majors, apply to their majors, and get accepted into their majors.  Once accepted into the major, the student's advisor will be a major advisor from that discipline.  Prior to acceptance to a Health Science major, students are coded and known as pre-nursing, pre-dental hygiene, pre-medical technology, etc.

Advising appointments for pre-majors can be scheduled by calling 757-683-5137 or stopping by the Advising Center and signing up outside the office door.

A 30-minute appointment is required for every student every semester.  Your Advisor Block will be lifted by your advisor at this pre-registration appointment.
